(Union City, CA) – Today, Democratic candidate for California State Senate District 10 Scott Sakakihara announced that State Senator Jesse Arreguín (D-Oakland), the Chair of the State Senate Housing and Public Safety Committees, has endorsed his campaign.
“Scott Sakakihara is the leader we need in the State Senate,” said Senator Arreguín. “He has an impressive record of building housing, fighting for workers, and addressing homelessness. He knows how to build coalitions and get big things done. I look forward to serving alongside Scott in the State Senate and to working together to build a more affordable and vibrant future for California.”
“I’m honored to earn Senator Arreguín’s support,” said Scott Sakakihara. “Like me, Senator Arreguín comes to the Senate from local government, having previously served two historically productive terms as the Mayor of Berkeley. We share an understanding of what it takes to bring local and state governments together to tackle our biggest challenges. He is doing incredible work in the State Senate to keep our neighborhoods safe and to make it easier to build new housing across California. I look forward to being neighboring Senators in the State Senate, and to working together to build a California with real opportunity for everyone.”
